解释:箕山:古代传说唐尧时的隐士许由、巢父隐居的地方。节:名节,节操。指归隐以保全节操。旧时用以称誉不愿在乱世做官的人。亦作“箕山之志”、“箕山之操”。
出处:《吕氏春秋·求人》:“昔尧朝许由于沛泽之中,曰:‘……请属天下于夫子。’许由辞曰:‘为天下之不治与?而既已治矣。自为与?啁噍巢于林,不过一枝;偃鼠饮于河,不过满腹。归已君乎!恶用天下?’遂之箕山之下,颖水之阳,耕而食,终身无经天下之色。”
西汉末年,小有才气的薛方一度担任郡椽祭酒,朝廷多次想起用他,他都不愿离开。后来,王莽用豪华大车高标准去迎接薛方。薛方客气地谢绝使者说:“尧舜在上,下有巢由,今明主方隆唐虞之德,小臣欲守箕山之节也。”
